9-11 MEMORIAL
The Centre is building a memorial to honor the thousands who perished in the Sept. 11 attack on America. It is being built on the grounds between the Irish Park entrance and the festival grounds, and will honor the police, fire and emergency medical services personnel who responded to the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City on Sept. 11. A groundbreaking ceremony took place on Sept. 7, 2002. Construction on the memorial is slated to continue once the needed funding is in place. If you would like to donate or learn more about the memorial, please call the Centre at 518-634-2286.
